Copyright and DMCA policy
Effective October 27, 2026. epk is built for the people who make the work: photographers and videographers keep their copyright, and their credit stays on every photo. We respond to clear notices of copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
Reporting infringement
If you believe content on epk infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to enforce, send a notice to our designated agent with:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- The copyrighted work you believe is infringed.
- The link to the material on epk you want removed, specific enough for us to find it.
- Your name, address, phone number and email.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized by the owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you're the owner or authorized to act for them.
Designated agent: [designated agent name], [postal address], [dmca@ email].
Before sending a notice, consider whether the use might be allowed, for example by a usage approval from the media team or as fair use. Knowingly false notices can lead to liability.
What we do
We remove or disable the material quickly, notify the person who posted it with a copy of the notice, and keep a record.
Counter-notice
If your material was removed and you believe it was a mistake or you have the rights, send our agent a counter-notice with:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- The material removed and where it appeared.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, outside the US, any district where we may be found) and will accept service from the person who sent the notice.
We forward it to the person who sent the notice. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they've filed a court action, we restore the material in 10 to 14 business days.
Repeat infringers
We close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe.
Credit and usage between users
Removing or hiding a photographer's credit, using delivered work beyond what the media team allowed, or ignoring the conditions of a usage approval breaks our terms. Media teams can report it to [support@ email] and we'll act on it.
